Critical Inquiry
In this paper I explore racism in the United States, detailing the intricate historical and political factors that have contributed to the nature of race and racism in the US throughout history. Connecting with my area of concentration, I focus on the active and intentional nature of many of the factors contributing to racial inequality and oppression in America, firmly stating that this was no accident and the steps to undo it must be equally active and intentional.
Formative Texts
This brief annotated bibliography explores the texts that I find to have been, far and away, the most influential reads during my time at Hamline. I have specifically selected texts that presented a challenge to my notions of truth and consider each of them to be intellectual works that fundamentally changed my view of the world.
Reflective Essay
As the title would suggest, this is an exploration of my time as a student of social justice. I look at what led me to become a social justice major as well as reflecting on how my educational and work experiences have shaped me as a person.
